Giving Back to the Community

Every year at this time all of us at Coldwell Banker Community Professionals have traditionally raised money for our community. This year we have been reminded through our relationships with family and friends, just how fortunate we are to have Juravinski Hospital close by. We have chosen to give back by supporting Juravinski’s Stem Cell Transplant Program.

Giving Back to Our Community

The Coldest Night of the Year… brrrr

Well… I am sure our team of walkers were glad it wasn’t truly the coldest night this year. This past Saturday, two groups from CB Community Real Estate participated in the Coldest Night of the Year walk, to raise money and awareness for the Hungry, Homeless and Hurting in our community. They participated in the Hamilton and Burlington walks.  Below are some photos of our crew.  Thank you all for giving of your time and effort.

It’s All About Community!

I am so excited that our company has chosen to change its name to Coldwell Banker Community Real Estate

We have been established in the area for over 35 years, and our main focus has always been on helping our community grow and flourish. Our REALTORS® are always working to help families find the right community to live in, and to ensure they have all the services they need to stay and raise their families.

Our company has also always been involved in the REALTOR® community, volunteering on various committees at the local real estate association, provincially and federally.

We believe we have a unique culture at our company, where everyone is ‘part of the whole’. We work together to ensure everyone succeeds, creating our own community under the company umbrella.

Also, at Community Real Estate we have always tried to give back to our community, whether by participating in fundraising events, sponsoring festivals, collecting for local food banks, just to name a few… Our most recent project has been our “Christmas to Remember” where we are helping families, and children in particular, have the Merry Christmas so many of us take for granted.

We gave a lot of thought to what we stand for as a company, and what makes us who we are. As a result, we have adopted a new mission statement that we feel best describes who we are and what we do. WORKING TO BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES.

If you are looking for a company that is involved in where it lives and works, and gives back to its community, give us a call.

Giving Back to Our Community

Yesterday our company joined together at our annual Christmas luncheon. Each year this function doubles as our start to the holiday season, and the wind up of our annual fund raising for our Christmas to Remember program.

This program started about 8 years ago when a group of our realtors decided to sponsor a family at the holidays, hoping to help some children who might not otherwise have had a visit from Santa or a Christmas dinner. Since then, our fundraising efforts have increased each year, through garage sales, bake sales, raffles, draws, cooking contests, and especially our annual fundraising lunch.  Since our decision to help at the holidays,  we have helped 48 families, which included 157 children, 8 special needs children and stocked a walking closet at a local school.

This year, in addition to enjoying the company of our co-workers, we engaged in draws, raffles, a silent auctions, a live auction, and more. At the end of the day, our group had raised $7000 to add to the funds we had raised throughout the year, making our hope of helping 10 families this year have a Christmas to Remember a rIMG_1245eality.

I am proud to be part of such a wonderful group of people, who work so hard at their profession, but take time to give back to the community in which we all live.
